SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />We have tailored our scope of services per our previous discussions, and our current <br />understanding of the project. A brief listing of services we expect to deliver for this project are <br />listed below. <br />Task #1: Survey <br />a) Obtain existing topographical survey information from the city if available <br />b) Obtain topographic data from curb to curb within project limits; <br />c) Plot survey. <br />Task #2: Geotechnical Investigation <br />This work includes two pavement cores and 5 soil borings within the area of the failed <br />pavement near the Pilot station and two pavement cores to determine pavement thickness <br />and appropriate milling depth for remaining pavement. <br />Task #3: Design & Construction Documents <br />This work includes meetings with the City to review and discuss the design and plans as well as <br />the construction and bidding solicitation approach. <br />a) Field inspection of existing pavement and subgrade conditions <br />b) Prepare preliminary plans <br />c) Prepare preliminary cost estimate <br />d) Review with City <br />e) Prepare final plans, specifications, special provisions, and bid forms <br />f) Finalize project quantities <br />g) Prepare final cost estimate <br />h) Submit three (3) sets of final bid documents to the City for final review <br />i) Meeting with the City to discuss their review of the bid documents <br />j) Submit final bid documents to the City <br />Task #4: Bid Period Services <br />a) Attend pre -bid meeting <br />b) Answer bidding questions <br />c) Prepare necessary addenda to the bid documents <br />d) Tabulate the bids and make a recommendation of contract award <br />Task #5: Construction Phase Services <br />a) Attend the pre -construction conference if requested <br />b) Answer City and contractor questions from the field if requested <br />c) Review shop drawings if requested <br />d) Inspect subgrade after pavement removal if requested <br />e) Attend field progress meetings as requested by the City if requested <br />Page 2 <br />EJCDC E-500 Agreement Between Owner and Engineer for Professional Services <br />Copyright 0 2008 National Society of Professional Engineers for EJCDC.
