Broden, Oliver Davis, John Voorde, <br /> Gavin Ferlic, Karen White <br /> Excused Absent: Tim Scott, Dr. David Varner, Randy Kelly <br /> Others Present: Aladean DeRose, Kareemah Fowler, Graham Sparks <br /> Agenda: Discussion of Council Agenda <br /> Update and Announcements <br /> Adjournment <br /> Council Vice President Oliver Davis called the Informal Meeting of the Common Council to <br /> order at 4:54 p.m. with three (3) items on the agenda. The Council went over the agenda for that <br /> night's formal Council meeting and detailed the recommendations for each bill from the various <br /> committees. <br /> Councilmember Ferlic reminded the Council of Finalist Interviews for the Council Attorney <br /> position. Thursday, May 4 at 5 p.m. is the proposed time for those to take place. <br /> Council Vice President Davis informed the Council of a transportation resolution that he is <br /> working on and he hopes to have it ready by the next Council meeting on May 8. <br /> Councilmember Jo M. Broden updated the Council on the household hazard waste process, as <br /> well as the contract for recyclables services. The hope is to remove the billing line item off of the <br /> citizen water bill and move it onto the citizen tax bill. She stated it is a forty dollar($40) <br /> increase, twenty dollars ($20) in the spring and twenty dollars ($20) in the fall. She briefly <br /> described the process of the application of the new fees. <br /> Councilmember Karen White asked if churches are still responsible for paying their twenty <br /> dollar($20) fee, to which Councilmember Broden stated she would follow up on the answer. <br /> Councilmember John Voorde asked when the Council will be voting on the citizen membership <br /> for MBE/WBE and SBACC.
