Miller <br /> Mayor May 23, 1972 <br /> ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br /> COMMISSION OF SOUTH BEND <br /> Mr. Frank Miles, President <br /> Area Plan Commission <br /> County-City Building <br /> South Bend, Indiana <br /> Dear Mr. Miles: <br /> Our Commission has an application for the issuance of <br /> Industrial Revenue Bonds in the amount of $500, 000 to <br /> enable the building of a major plant addition to the Gentner <br /> Packing Company, Inc, at their present plant location on <br /> West Roosevelt Road, St. Joseph County, Indiana. <br /> In accordance with the Economic Development Act, State <br /> of Indiana, our Commission is to forward a statement of <br /> public service to the Area Plan Commission having juris- <br /> diction of the arga in which the proposed facility is located. <br /> Inasmuch as this is a plant addition at their existing location, <br /> we have reason to believe that this would cause no particular <br /> change in the public services needed. Mr. Isadore Gentner, <br /> President of Gentner Packing Company, Inc. , has informed <br /> us that the company has made considerable investment in the <br /> last few years in meeting pollution control standards and <br /> health standards. <br /> Present employment of Gentner Packing Company is approxi- <br /> mately 100 people, and the plant addition should enable the <br />
