a <br /> b <br /> f i <br /> .AA <br /> July 19, 1972 <br /> ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br /> COMMISSION OF SOUTH BEND <br /> y <br /> Mr. Frank Miles, President <br /> Area Plan Commission <br /> County-City Building <br /> South Bend, Indiana <br /> Bear Mr. Miles: <br /> Our Commission has an application from International Bakers <br /> Services, Inc. of South Bend, Indiana for an industrial revenue ' <br /> bond issue of $350, 000 to enable them to build a building on <br /> land contiguous to Airport Industrial Park - Phase III facing <br /> the Toll Road with an entrance on Cleveland Road. <br /> This building would house this well-known international business <br /> in this area and benefit the community through increased employ- <br /> ment with the expansion plans. The company presently employs <br /> twelve people and expects to double this number in the near future, <br /> and more later. <br /> The planned building would not contribute to pollution, cause any <br /> unusual hazards, nor be an increased burden to the police or <br /> fire department. The utility expansion in Airport Industrial <br /> Park - III will service this building also. <br /> The increased employment would be from people already living <br /> in the area and therefore be of no additional burden to the <br /> school system. The planned building would be an addition to <br /> 3 <br />
