f <br /> I <br /> REPORT OF CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br /> ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br /> MAKING CERTAIN ESTIMATES <br /> Pursuant to the Municipal Economic Development Act of 1965 as <br /> amended, the City of South Bend Economic Development Commission is <br /> required to make certain estimates in regard to the proposed construction <br /> of a one story building at 208 .210 South Michigan Street, South Bend, <br /> Indiana. The owners of said property are Rael Brown, Marilyn Brown, <br /> Beatrice Lucille Nevel and Shirley Babette Waks. The estimates are <br /> as follows: <br /> (1) The number of public services or facilities, including <br /> streets, sidewalks, schools, sewers, street lights, fire and <br /> police protection which would be made additionally necessary <br /> or desirable on account of the proposed facilities are none and <br /> the expenses therefore are none. y <br /> (2) The total project cost of the proposed facilities, including <br /> all necessary financial costs, will be in the amount of $120, 000. 00. <br /> (3) The number of jobs to be created by the proposed facilities <br /> is estimated in a range from five to twenty, and the estimated annual <br /> payroll will be $125, 000. 00. <br /> Preliminary plans have been prepared by a local architectural firm <br /> and are presently with the Redevelopment Commission for their review. A <br /> firm bank commitment has been received by the Economic Development } <br /> Commission. The construction of this new building will be in compliance <br /> with R-66, the plan for the redevelopment of South Bend, will be a fine <br /> improvement to the downtown area, and will assure the continuation of a <br /> sound tax base. <br /> i <br /> J <br />
