MEMORANDUM OF ADOPTION RE: RESOLUTION NO. 341-72 <br /> A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE DESIRE OF <br /> THE COMMON COUNCIL FOR A REDUCTION OF <br /> 11C IN THE PROPERTY TAX RATE FOR 1973 . <br /> The attached Resolution of the Common Council of <br /> the City of South Bend, Indiana was adopted on <br /> November 13 , 1972 . The Resolution was presented <br /> to Mayor Jerry J. Miller for signature on November <br /> 14, 1972. Mayor Miller vetoed the Resolution by <br /> returning it to the Council unsigned. <br /> The Resolution came before the Council at its <br /> December 4, 1972 regular meeting, which was the <br /> first meeting of the Council after the November 13 <br /> meeting. Councilman Miller moved for adoption of <br /> the Resolution, seconded by Councilman Szymkowiak. <br /> Council President Peter J. Nemeth advised the <br /> Council that it would require a two-thirds vote <br /> to override the veto. The Resolution was adopted <br /> by a roll call vote of seven ayes (Councilmen Serge, <br /> Szymkowiak, Miller, Parent, Taylor, Horvath and <br /> Nemeth) and two nays (Councilmen Kopczynski and <br /> Newburn) . <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Peter J.
