REPORT OF CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br /> ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br /> MAKING CERTAIN ESTIMATES <br /> j <br /> Pursuant to the Municipal Economic Development Act of 1965 <br /> as amended, the City of South Bend Economic Development Commission <br /> is required to make certain estimates in regard to the proposed con- <br /> struction of a building by Gentner Packing Co. , Inc. of South Bend, <br /> Indiana. The estimates are as follows: <br /> (1) The number of public services or facilities, including <br /> streets, sidewalks, schools, sewers, street lights, fire <br /> and police protection which would be made additionally <br /> necessary or desirable on account of the proposed con- <br /> struction are none and the expenses therefore are none. <br /> (2) The total project cost of the proposed facilities was <br /> originally estimated for a two-phase program. Phase I <br /> at a cost of $500, 000 has been completed. Phase II at <br /> an approximate cost of $150, 000 will complete the entire <br /> project covering purchase of real estate and construction <br /> of a building thereon and equipment therein. <br /> (3) The number of jobs to be created by the proposed <br /> facilities will remain as originally stated at fifteen immediately <br /> with a potential of fifty or more. <br /> This is Phase II of an expansion program of a well known operation <br /> in the community, and since this property is located in the County, we <br /> are working in conjunction with the St. Josep bonds has beenlreceiv d <br /> commitment letter to purchase the additional <br /> by the Commission from a local institution. <br /> r <br />
