Y <br /> REPORT OF CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br /> ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br /> MAKING CERTAIN ESTIMATES <br /> };s <br /> Pursuant to the Municipal Economic Development Act of 1965 <br /> as amended, the City of South Bend Economic Developm-, nt Commission <br /> is required to make certain estimates in regard to the purchase of real <br /> property, the renovation and equipping of the existing facility, and <br /> the construction of additional facilities by Michiana Beverages, Inc. <br /> at 142 South Olive Street in South Bend, Indiana. The estimates <br /> are as follows: <br /> a <br /> (1) The number of public services or facilities, including <br /> streets, sidewalks, schools, sewers, street lights, fire and <br /> police protection which vo uld be made additiora lly necessary <br /> or desirable on account of the proposed addition are none and <br /> the expenses therefore are none. <br /> (2) The total project cost of the proposed facility will be <br /> approximately $300, 000. 00. i <br /> (3) The number of jobs to be created by the proposed <br /> facility would be approximately 10 with an estimated annual <br /> payroll increase of $220, 000. 00. <br /> This is an established business in our community. The land <br /> is properly zoned and the construction of the proposed facility <br /> would be in conformity to the area and will provide an increase <br /> in the tax base. A firm commitment letter to purchase the bonds <br /> has been received by the Commission from a local institution. <br />
