MARCH 12 , 1973 <br /> EXCERPTS OF MINUTES OF THE MEETING FOR RESOLUTION NO. 357-73 : <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL <br /> OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, ST. JOSEPH <br /> COUNTY, INDIANA, IN THE MATTER OF <br /> MICHIANA BEVERAGES, INC. , OF SOUTH <br /> BEND, INDIANA. <br /> A public hearing was held on the resolution at this time. Mr. Kenneth <br /> Fedder, Attorney for the Economic Development Commission, explained <br /> that this company was anticipating an expansion program and desired <br /> to purchase property located at 142 South Olive. He added that <br /> there would be an increase in the tax base realized and additional <br /> employment of 10 people. Councilman Szymkowiak asked if the company <br /> was located on College Street, and Mr. Fedder indicated that it was <br /> and would be moving the entire operation to Olive Street and add on <br /> to the building there. He concluded that it would be across from <br /> the old fire station. Councilman Kopczynski made a motion that the <br /> resolution be adopted, seconded by Councilman Szymkowiak. The <br /> resolution passed by a roll call vote of nine ayes (Councilmen Serge, <br /> Szymkowiak, Miller, Parent, Taylor, Kopczynski, Horvath, Newburn and <br /> Nemeth) . <br /> Irene K.
