a•� <br /> Y r <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 382-73 <br /> A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE SENSE OF THE <br /> COUNCIL REGARDING PUBLIC HOUSING WEST OF <br /> MICHIGAN STREET. <br /> WHEREAS, the South Bend Common Council has heretofore <br /> expressed its opposition to the erection of any more public housing <br /> units in the part of the city West of Michigan Street until more <br /> units are erected East of Michigan, and <br /> WHEREAS, the city' s Workable Program called for the <br /> orderly replenishing of the city' s housing supply through the promo- <br /> tion and development of both public and private housing, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Council now views the construction of <br /> public housing on Council approved scattered sites within the city <br /> West of Michigan as being consistant with and an integral part of <br /> its program on balancing public housing in the various areas of the <br /> city. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council <br /> of the City of South Bend, Indiana: That the Council will interpose <br /> no objection to the construction of additional public housing units <br /> in the part of the city West of Michigan on scattered sites that are <br /> to be approved by the Common Council. <br /> M mber of thd Common Council <br /> Passed August 27, 1973 , as amended. <br />
