RESOLUTION NO. 20, 1974 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SALE OF REAL ESTATE TO <br />THE DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT OF THE CITY <br />OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. <br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend owns certain real estate <br />as hereinafter described which is not necessary to the public use <br />and is no longer needed and is not set aside by the State of Indiana <br />or the City of South Bend for public purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, appraisals have been had on each parcel of real <br />estate as hereinafter described by qualified appraisers and said <br />appraisals are in writing, are now available and are placed of <br />record; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Redevelopment of the City of <br />South Bend now desires to purchase from the City of South Bend the <br />hereinafter described real estate for a sum equal to the aggregate <br />appraised value of each of said parcels of real estate; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Redevelopment of the City of <br />South Bend is a public body co- extensive with the territory of the <br />City of South Bend and is a part of and a Department within the <br />City of South Bend within the purview of I.C. 5- 18 -1 -1 nermitting <br />the sale of real estate with another public body co- extensive with <br />the territory of another public body, or which one public body is <br />a part of such other public body upon the terms set forth therein; <br />and such sale is further provided for pursuant to the terms of such <br />statute by Chapter 30A -2 of the Municipal Code of the City of South <br />Bend. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public <br />Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />1. That the Board now determines that the hereinafter <br />described real estate is not necessary to the public use and is no <br />longer needed and is not set aside by the State of Indiana or the <br />City of South Bend for public purposes; and the valuation of each <br />parcel of real estate is hereby established in the amount set forth <br />after each parcel. <br />Parcel No. Legal Description Price <br />59 -25 Lot 2 Elder Place Addition, commonly t 675.00 <br />known as 115 E.
