E. <br />Director, Public Works <br />Members of the Common Council <br />441 County /City Building <br />South Bend, IN 46601 <br />Gentlemen: <br />Reply To: Department <br />of Public Works <br />April 2, 1975 <br />This resolution, which establishes the South Bend Civic Center <br />Building Authority, is the first step toward the implementation <br />of recently enacted legislation which enables the City of South <br />Bend to finance, acquire, construct, equip and lease a major portion <br />of Century Center. <br />Utilization of this legislation and said Building Authority will <br />enable the City to issue bonds for this construction at Revenue <br />Bond rates, thus incurring a substantial savings. <br />Once this resolution is passed by the Common Council, the Circuit <br />Court shall appoint the five - member board required to serve as the <br />Civic Center Building Authority Board of Directors. <br />Very truly yours, <br />Rollin E.
