RESOLUTION NO. <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND CREATING A BODY CORPORATE <br />AND POLITIC TO BE KNOWN AS THE SOUTH BEND <br />CIVIC CENTER BUILDING AUTHORITY. <br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Indiana, pursuant to <br />the recently enacted provisions of Indiana Code 1971, 19- 7- 18.5 -1, has <br />the authority to create by the adopting of an appropriate resolution, <br />an authority for the purpose of financing, acquiring, constructing, <br />equipping and leasing to the City of South Bend land and a building or <br />buildings for civic purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interests of the <br />City of South Bend, and advisable for said city, to establish such an <br />authority for the financing, acquiring, constructing, equipping and <br />leasing to the City of South Bend land and a building or buildings for <br />civic purposes. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the <br />City of South Bend, as follows: <br />SECTION I. That there is hereby created pursuant to the <br />provisions of the Indiana Code 1971, 19 -7- 18.5 -1, an authority for the <br />purpose of financing, acquiring, constructing, equipping and leasing to <br />the City of South Bend land and a building or buildings for civic purposes. <br />SECTION II. That such authority created herein shall be a <br />body corporate and politic, and shall be known as the "South Bend Civic <br />Center Building Authority ". <br />SECTION III. That the Clerk of the City of South Bend is <br />directed to file forthwith a certified copy of this resolution with the <br />Judge of the St. Joseph County Circuit Court as provided for by Indiana <br />Code 1971, 19 -7- 18.5 -1. <br />SECTION IV.
