Approving the special engineering studies and reports of the architecht's contract for the Civic Center Project

RESOLUTION NO. 4 8 9- -2 S A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND TO APPROVE SPECIAL ENGINEERING STUDIES AND REPORTS OF THE ARCHITECT'S CONTRACT FOR THE CIVIC CENTER PROJECT. WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend have approved various appropriations as required per the contractual arrangements specified in the Architect's Contract for the Civic Center Project, Resolution No. 374 -73 passed June 11, 1973, and WHEREAS, the Civic Center Authority and the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend has approved the following special reports required of the Architect: 1. Foundation Report $ 17,000 Halpert & Neyer 2. Spread Footing Design 9,500 Skilling,Helle,Christiansen, Robertson $ 26,500 and WHEREAS, the Civic Center Authority and the Board of Public Works has authorized the architectural firm of Philip Johnson and John Burgee to proceed with the above reports, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana: SECTION I. That the proposed Contracts pertaining to the above in the amount of $26,500 approved by the Civic Center Authority and Board of Public Works, are hereby approved. SECTION II. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor.
