RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, COMMENDING ODELL NEWBURN, COUNCILMAN -AT -LARGE AND CHAIRMAN OF THE COUNCIL COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE, JANUARY 1, 1972, TO DECEMBER 31, 1975. WHEREAS, Odell Newburn, Councilman -At- Large, has served the people of South,Bend, Indiana, from January 1, 1972 to December 31, 1975; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend: SECTION 1. That the citizens of South Bend, through Their Common Council, commend and congratulate Councilman Odell Newburn for exemplary service to the people of South Bend. SECTION 2. That the Common Council further expresses its appreciation for the effective and dignified manner in which Councilman Odell Newburn dispatched his duties as Chairman of the Committee of the Whole for four consecutive years. SECTION 3. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor.
