RESOLUTION NO. S ,;� � - 7 C, <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, PROCLAIMING <br />AUGUST 23, 1976 TO BE "DAN HARRIGAN DAY." <br />WHEREAS, Dan Harrigan of South Bend, Indiana, has <br />achieved the distinction of having attained the bronze medal <br />for the 200 -meter backstroke in the 21st Olympiad held in <br />Montreal, Canada; and <br />WHEREAS, Dan Harrigan is the first South Bend citizen <br />to attain such distinction; and <br />WHEREAS, Dan Harrigan has by his achievements brought <br />honor to the United States of America and the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council <br />of the City of South Bend, Indiana; <br />SECTION I. That the 23 day of August, 1976, shall be <br />proclaimed Dan Harrigan Day" in the City of South Bend, Indiana <br />in honor of his achievements in the 21st Olympiad. <br />SECTION II.
