RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, OFFICIALLY WELCOMING REVEREND AND MRS. IVOR THOMAS REES OF ENGLAND TO OUR COMMUNITY WHEREAS, Reverend and Mrs. Igor Thomas Rees of Epsom, Surrey County, England, are presently spending a six week period in our community; and WHEREAS, Reverend Rees is a visiting exchange pastor with the Zion United Church of Christ, South Bend, Indiana and is from the United Reform Church, Ewell Congregation, in Epsom, England, NOW, THEREFORE, BE. IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana: SECTION I. That the Citizens of the City of South Bend, Indiana, through their Common Council, officially welcome Reverend and Mrs. Ivor Thomas Rees of Epsom, Surrey County, England to our community. SECTION II. That the Common Council recognizes the many benefits attributable to such cultural exchange programs between the various nations and encourages the development of such pro- grams. SECTION III. That the Council further extends to the Rees family a most enjoyable and enlightening stay in the United States, and sends the best wishes of our community to the Country of England upon their return.
