EJCDC....--- ENGINEERS JOINT CONTRACT DOCUMENTS COMMITTEE AGREEMENT BETWEEN OWNER AND ENGINEER I 1 _: PROFESSIONAL SERVICES THIS IS AN AGREEMENT effective as of - a g , )-o (7 (`Effective Date") between City of South Bend acting by and through the Board of Public Works ("Owner") and DLZ Indiana, LLC, 2211 East Jefferson Blvd. South Bend, Indiana 46615 ("Engineer"). Owner's Project, of which Engineer's services under this Agreement are a part, is generally identified as follows: FARMINGTON 14A LIFT STATION UPGRADE ("Project"). Engineer's services under this Agreement are generally identified as follows: The Project includes the preparation of construction documents for upgrading the existing lift station. The Engineer will prepare plans to replace the existing pumps with two (2) submersible pumps with variable frequency drives. In addition, a portion of the existing lift station will be demolished in order to accomdate a valve vault insert. Refer to Exhibit A, Figure No.1 for the Project Limits Map. The existing Farmington 14A lift station pumping capacity is 240 gallons per minute (gpm) and the existing 6" cast iron forcemain is approximately 261 feet in length. The existing lift station equipment will be replaced with a submersible duplex pump station. The existing vaccum-prime pumps will be replaced with the submersible pumps having the same flow rate, total dynamic head and horsepower design parameters as the existing pumps. The existing wetwell and forcemain are assumed to be in adequate condition and to accomadate these improvements. The existing forcemain is to be maintained throughout construction. The Owner acknowledges that the lift station upgrades will not require upsizing as no future growth is anticipated in the surrounding area.
