Typically, this fund charges an allocation of 0.25% of payroll to most <br />departments to cover the cost of unemployment claims paid. However, beginning in <br />Nov 2016, the charge of 0.25% of payroll costs was suspended indefinitely due to the <br />fund's high cash reserves.
