<br />The Sewer Insurance program is funded by a monthly charge on city residents' sewer bills.
<br />The city is responsible for the main sewer line; from the main line to the house is the
<br />homeowner's responsibility. This program helps residents who have an issue with their
<br />lateral that cannot be resolved by a simple clean-out by a plumber, i.e., collapsed line,
<br />complete root infiltration, etc. that requires excavation work.
