RESOLUTION NO. 585 -77 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SUBMIT TO THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT, DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT, AN APPLICATION FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FUNDS UNDER TITLE I OF THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1974. WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of South Bend is the Chief Executive Officer of the City, and is designated as the Applicant for Community Development funds under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: SECTION I. The Mayor of the City of South Bend is hereby authorize to submit an application for "Urgent Needs Funds" in the amount of Two Million One Hundred and Twenty -Six Thousand Dollars ($2,126,000.00) to the United States Government, Depart- ment of Housing and Urban Development under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974. SECTION II. For every category established under this resolution, the Mayor shall submit to the Common Council a line item budget in Bill form prior to any expenditures of any grant money received upon approval of this application. and effect approval by PRESENTED 9- a? 6 "7 7 NOT APPROVED ADOPTED SECTION III.
