RESOLUTION NO. CQ i0 fl <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR <br />TO SUBMIT TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, <br />EDUCATION AND WELFARE A GRANT APPLICATION <br />UNDER TITLE III OF THE JUVENILE JUSTICE <br />AND DELINQUENCY PREVENTION ACT OF 1974, <br />AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of South Bend is the <br />Chief Executive Officer of the City, and is the Applicant for <br />HEW funding under Title III of the Juvenile Justice and <br />Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974, as amended, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common <br />Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana that: <br />SECTION I. The Mayor of the City of South Bend is <br />hereby authorized to submit an application for Title III funds <br />in the amount of Fifty Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars <br />($52,500) to the Department of Health, Education and Welfare <br />under Title III of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency <br />Prevention Act of 1974, as amended. <br />SECTION II. The Executive Director of the Youth <br />Service Bureau shall be designated the Administrative Agent <br />for this grant. For every category established under this <br />Resolution, the Mayor shall submit to the Common Council a <br />line item budget prior to the expenditures of any grant money <br />received upon approval of this application. <br />SECTION III.
