October 16p 1961 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, October <br />16, 1961 at 10:00 A.M. DST. All members were present. Minutes of the last <br />regular meeting and a special meeting were read and approved. Vouchers <br />were approved and ordered paid to the various suppliers. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT ( SUB -STANDARD DIVISION) <br />The following actions were taken in connection with the Sub -Standard <br />properties listed below: <br />Property at 309 Harris Street, owned by Mr. Morris: Request for continuation <br />of case granted. Continued until November 6, 1961. <br />Property located at 122 Paris St.: Mr. Grabarz was directed to talk to <br />owner concerning this propetty. <br />Property owned by Mr. Chism: Mr. Grabarz reported no action taken to fill <br />in excavation, and was directed to take steps to take care of this matter. <br />Property located at 1219 Grace Street: Owner will demolish this structure. <br />ELECT, . ICAL DEPARTMENT STREET LIGHTS) <br />Following the recommendation of Nicholas Horvath, Electrical Department <br />Superintendent, the following installations were approved: <br />1 - 4000 lumen light at 516 Sherman Ave. <br />1,- 4000 lumen light at Summers Ct. and LaSalle Ct. intersection. <br />1 - 4000 lumen light in the 1400-1500 Block North Olive Street. <br />TRAFFIC ENGINEER ( TRAFFIC SIGNS) <br />Following the recommendation of Clem Hazinski, Traffic Engineer, the <br />following installations were approved:; <br />Stop Signs installed on Vine Street, both sides, at 20th Street. <br />SPECIAL POLICE BOND <br />Special Police Bond for Eugene Robert Benninghoff was approved and ordered <br />placed on *4�1.e.. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT APPLICATION <br />An application for the Police Department from Thomas Phillip Karmolinski <br />was accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />_WEIGHTS AND MEASURES REPORT <br />A report for the month of September from the Department of Weights & Measures <br />was accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT <br />A Street Light Outage Report was accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was <br />adjourned at 11:00 A.M. 7 <br />Cha <br />Attest: <br />
