rla <br />February 6, 1961 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, February <br />6, 1961 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the last regular <br />meeting were read and approved. Vouchers were approved and ordered paid to <br />the various suppliers. <br />AWARDING OF BID - (BUILDING DEPARTMENT <br />With reference to the bids for a Sedan for the Building Department, after due - <br />examination it appears that the lowest and best bid for said Sedan is from <br />Freeman -Spicer Co., Inc. The bid reads as follows. <br />Freeman -Spicer Co., Inc. <br />520 5 Lafayette Blvd. <br />South Bend, Ind. <br />1 - 1961 Studebaker Lark Deluxe 4 Door S@dan $1,941.36 <br />(Special Discounted Price) <br />Less Federal Tax 179.84 <br />Less Trade In 150.00 <br />Net Delivered Price $1,611.52 <br />It is the decision of the Board that said bid be awarded to Freeman -Spicer <br />Co., Inc. as of this date. <br />►� OPENING OF BIDS - P©LICE DEP.ARTMENf (MOTORCYCLE) <br />The time now being after 10:00 A.M. it was so announced and the bid for the <br />Motorcycle was opened and red aloud. Proofs of publication from The South <br />Bend Tribune with affidavit signed by Robert DeLong and The Record with <br />affidavit signed by William Slavick were found sufficient. TH-((following <br />bid was received: <br />IJ4,71"44vidson Sales <br />526 W. Western Ave. <br />South Bend 25, Ind. <br />1 - Police Servi-car Motorcycle (including freight) $1,733.50 <br />Police Servi-car Motorcycle offered as trade in <br />Mech. #19 Ser. #57G1541 300.00 <br />Net Price $1,433.50 <br />Bid Bond for 10% of attached bid, signed by Wm. Kacsis <br />Non -Collusion Affidavit,signed by Wm. Kacsis <br />Since it appears that the above is the only bid received, said bid will be <br />examined -to ascertain if it is fair and proper and, if so,.will be awarded <br />not later than Tuesday, February 14, 1961. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - POLICE DEPARTMENT (POLICE CARS) <br />The time now being after 10:00 A.M. it was so announced and the bid for the <br />Police Sedans was opened and read aloud. Proofs of publication from The South <br />Bend Tribune with affidavit signed by Robert DeLong and The Record with <br />affidavit signed by William Slavich were found sufficient.
