December 19, 1960 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, December <br />12, 1960 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the previous <br />regular meeting were read and approved. Vouchers were approved and ordered <br />paid to the various suppliers. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT - SUB STANDARD DIVISION <br />Comes now Mrs. Mary Berbas, owner of a restaurant at 324 W. Wample. Street <br />and requests more time in which to bring property up to standard. It was <br />the decision of the Board, after hearing Mrs. Berbas, that sufficient time <br />has been allowed and that the building, in its present condition, is unsafe. <br />The present tenant will vacate said building on January 6, 1961 by order <br />of the Sub -Standard Division of the Building Department, which order was <br />upheld by the Board. After building is vacated, remodeling can be accomplished. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT <br />A petition for an alley light, first alley south of.Washington 100 block from <br />St. Walnut to Chestnut signed by residents in the area was referred to the <br />Electrical Department for investigation and recommendation. <br />The following installations recommended by theElectrical Department were <br />approved by theBoard: <br />4000 lumen street light at 3224 Lincolnway West. <br />at 500 block East Sample, at railroad overpass, increase <br />four (4) 2500 lumen lights to 4000 lumen lights. <br />OUTAGE REPORT <br />A Street Light Outage Report was accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />CE DEPARTMENT (APPLICATION) <br />An'application for the Police Department from Joseph Stephen Markovich was <br />accepted and ordered placed -on file. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was <br />adjourned at 11:00 A.M. <br />Attest: A t ny J.
