CITY OF SOUTH BFND PETE BUTTIGIEG, MAYOR <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />Eric Horvath, Director <br />March 7, 2017 <br />Mr. Tim Scott <br />President, South Bend Common Council <br />41h Floor, County -City Building <br />South Bend, IN 46601 <br />Re: Bill No. 66 -16 Water Rates & Charges <br />Dear President Scott: <br />Filed in Clerk's Office <br />MAR 0 8 2017 <br />KAREEMAH FOWLER <br />CITY CLERK, SOUTH BEND, IN <br />I am requesting that Bill No. 66 -16, an Ordinance amending various sections of the South Bend <br />Municipal Code at Chapter 17, Articles 4 and 6 to address new Water Rates & Charges, that was <br />continued indefinitely, be heard at the Council Utilities Committee meeting and placed on the <br />Council Agenda for 2nd and 3rd hearing on March 13, 2017. <br />In consideration of Council requests, I will be submitting a substitute bill that reflects a 20% <br />increase in year 1 and an additional 20% increase in year 2. 1 have discussed these changes with <br />most of the Council members, and I will present changes to the ordinance at the committee <br />meeting.
