Prepare surfaces using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the best <br />result for the substrate under the project conditions. <br />3.3 INSTALLATION <br />A. Install in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. <br />3.4 ANCHORAGE <br />A. Anchor window units and/or assemblies sufficiently to maintain permanent positions when <br />subjected to normal thermal movement, specified building movement and specified wind loads. <br />3.5 PROTECTION <br />A. Protect installed products until completion of project. <br />B. Final operating adjustment shall be made after glazing work is complete. Operating sash and <br />ventilator shall operate smoothly and shall be weathertight when in locked position <br />C. Touch-up, repair or replace damaged products before Substantial Completion, <br />3.6 DISPOSAL OF DEBRIS <br />A.Remove all garbage off site and legally dispose of existing windows and debris generated from the <br />installation of the new windows. <br />3.7 OPTIONAL FIELD TESTING <br />A. At the discretion and expense of Owner or Owner's representative, perform on -site testing of <br />installed units in conformance with AAMA 502 - Voluntary Specification for Field Testing of <br />Windows and Sliding Glass Doors, Conduct air and water infiltration testing with the window <br />manufacturer, contractor, and owner present. <br />B. An AAMA accredited lab will be hired by the owner to perform the required testing. <br />3.8 ADJUSTMENT AND CLEAN UP <br />A. Adjust all products, sash, vents, and hardware after installation, as necessary to provide proper <br />operation and a weather tight installation <br />B.
