East of the river might be better to have some kind of restriction, but it should be very loose and very liberal.
My goodness, we should make it exceptionally easy to build in our city. It has been a depressed place for virtually my
entire life. Wouldn't it be great for our city to have a few skyscrapers with views of the Notre Dame campus?
Please do away with all the height restrictions west of the river and adopt very liberal height restrictions east of it. If we
in South Bend don't foster this kind of building in the urban core where it is appropriate, we might eventually see
surrounding communities do so.
One final note. I was born in South Bend. For my entire life my non - Indiana friends have joked with me that they know
they are near South Bend on the Indiana Toll Road when they see the waste -water treatment plant. I hope that someday
my children will get texts and messages from their friends saying "I thought of you as a I drove by because of the
beautiful South Bend skyline I could see from the Toll Road.
Thanks for your care for our city.
All the Best,
Robert Kloska
1 121 North Saint Peter Street.
iRECEIVE
FFR 1 2017
AREA PLAN MMMISSION
file : / / /C:/ Users /JParcell /AppData/Local/ Temp/ XPgrpwise /58AC5AOCInternalPLEXI SPO 10013 5746E 154B... 2/22/2017
