June 20, 1960 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public.Safety was held on Monday, June 20, 1960 <br />at 10:00 A.M. Mr. Irving Smith was not present. Minutes of the last regular <br />meeting were read and approved. Vouchers were approved and ordered paid to the, <br />various suppliers. <br />Comes now Nicholas Horvathof the_ELedtrical_Engineering Department with a <br />petition for the installation of a 4000 lumen street light at the intersection <br />of Riverside Drive and Riverside Place. Mr. Horvath recommended that this be <br />installed. The Board so approved said petition. <br />In accordance with instructions of the Board, John Grabarz, Director of the <br />Sub -Standard Building Division of the Building Department appeared before the <br />Board with Mr. Fair, representing the property at 522 E. Keasey Street. Mr. <br />Fair asked for a 90 day period during which time he states he can have the <br />first and second floors of the Building at the Keasey Street address in satis- <br />factory condition, in accordance with the Building Department's order. In <br />accordance with this request, the Board granted a 90 day extension and the <br />ca'se will be continued until the regular meeting of September 19, 1960. <br />Comes now John Grabarz, of the Sub -Standard Division of the Building Department <br />and asks permission to advertise for bids to board up a structure located at <br />* 523 N. St. Joseph Street for the protection of the property. After due <br />consideration, the Building Department was authorized to so advertise and <br />request wad granted. <br />Upon the recommendation of Police Chief J. Charles Dutrieux, permission was <br />granted Captain John F. Kasprzak to attend the Annual Conference -of the <br />International Association for Identification to be held July 24, 1960 through <br />July 28, 1960 at Houston, Texas. <br />The monthly report covering the month of May, 1960, from the Police Department <br />was examined and ordered placed on file. <br />A Street Outage Report was presented by the Police Department, examined and <br />ordered placed on file. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was <br />adjourned at 11:00 A.M. <br />Chair n <br />Attest: A ny J.
