RESOLUTION NO. 654 -78 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SUBMIT TO UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT, DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY, AN APPLICATION FOR AN APPROPRIATE TECHNOLOGY GRANT FOR A SOLAR ENERGY DEMONSTRATION PROJECT UNDER SECTION 112 OF THE ENERGY RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT AUTHORIZATION ACT OF 1977. WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of South Bend, Indiana is the Chief Executive Officer of the City, and is the Applicant for Department of Energy funding under Section 112 of the Energy Research and Development Administration Appropriation Authorization Act of 1977; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that: SECTION I. The Mayor of the City of South Bend is hereby authorized to submit an application for an Appropriate Technology Grant in the amount of Thirty -two Thousand Two Hundred and Fifty -three Dollars and Twenty -eight Cents ($32,253.28) to the United States Government, Department of Energy. SECTION II. The Mayor of the City of South Bend shall submit to the Common Council a line item budget in Ordinance form prior to any expenditures of any grant funds received upon approval of this application.
