December 30, 1959 <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />A special meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Wednesday, December 30, <br />1959 at 2:00 PM. All members were present. <br />T He Board hereby approves the appointment of Frank Lebiedzinski, Joseph Galeziewski, <br />and Joseph Herczeg to the Fire Department of the City of South Bend, Indiana. Said <br />applicants having passed all required written examinations and the physical examina- <br />tion by the City Doctor and further having been accepted for membership in the Fire- <br />men's Pension Fund, their appointment shall become effective as of January 12 1960. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned <br />at 2:15 P.M. <br />CHAIRMAN <br />ATTEST: bw <br />HONY J. All. members were present. <br />The following action was taken by the Board this date for the demotion of <br />Department members. That Edmund Dobski be demoted from Captain to Lieutenant, Alex <br />Niespodziany from Lieutenant to Private, and Ray Gorski from Lieutenant toPrivate. <br />Promotions were approved for Steve Hegge from Lieutenant to Captain; Stanley Zielinski <br />from Lieutenant to Captain; Ray Bikowski from Lieutenant to Captain; Rene Baetsle from <br />Private to Lieutenant; James Humphrey from Private to Lieutenant; Clayton Wroblewski <br />from Private to Lieutenant; and Leo Banacki from Private to Lieutenant.
