September 28, 1959 A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, September 28, 1959 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Comes now Lt. Carroll I. Parfitt and requests permission to attend the U. S. Civil Defense Council Conference at Houston, Texas from October 12 to October 16,.1959. Permission granted. The monthly report for August, 1959 is hereby accepted and placed on file from the Weights 8 Measures Department. Comes now D. D. Goheen and submits to the Board.a contract between the MuiA Construct- tion Company and said Goheen's for the building of a new structure on the premises lo- cated at 1817 South Miami Street. It is understood that the condemnation order here- tofore entered will be continued for 90 days from date. Nick Horvath, Electrical Department Superintendent, recommends installation of street lights at the following locations: 4000 lumen lights at: 4800 Meadow Lane 3513 Curtiss Drive 500 block Twenty Fifth Street 2500 lumenlights at: rear cross alley of 1022 W. Thomas Street rear cross alley of 2176 Inglewood Place Increase from 4000 to 6000, the light at Jefferson and Ironwood There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was called ad- journed at 10:45 A.M. , At -test: Anthco ;.Sabo* Clerk 1
