1 L' Permission is hereby granted to Rene DeVolder of the South Bend Police Department to attend the Mental Health Convention in Indianapolis on September 169 17, 18, and 19, 1959. Comes Now Sgt. Harman of the South Bend Police Department and requests annual military leave from the 14th day of September, 1959 through the 28th day of September, 1959 at Bunker Hill Air Force Base at Peru, Indiana. Permission granted. Comes now Rev. Bowles reference to the structures located at 215 and 203 South Kentucky Street and submits a request to the Board for permission to rebuild said structures in conformance with the Building Bode of the City of South Bend. Permission granted and Rev. Bowles is given sixty (60) days to complete this matter to conform with the list of repairs as set out in a letter from the City Building Department. Further, if this order is not complied with in the 60 day period, then the Building Department is di- rected to demolish said dwellings forthwith. The time now being after 10:00 A.M. it was so announced and the bids for the South Bend Police Department are now opened and read aloud. Proofs of publication in.the South Bend Tribune with an affidavit signed by Robert DeLong and in The Record with an affidavit signed by Ruby McMahon were submitted to the Board and found sufficient. The bids re- ceived read as follows: Freeman Spicer Company 520 South Lafayette South Bend, Indiana A non -collusion affidavit and a certi- fied check in the amount of $187.00 accompanied the bid. 1 - 1960 Studebaker Lark 2-door Station Wagon Total bid price ---------- $1865.54 Newman Altman Company 220 Jefferson Blvd. South Bend, Indiana A non -collusion affidavit and a certi- fied check in the amount of $200.00 accompanied the bid. 1 - 2-door Station Waggon V-8 59V- D4 Total bid price ----------- $1975.00 The bids will be taken under advisement and awarded at the next regular Board meeting. There being no further business to come before theBoard, it was so announced and the meeting was called adjourned at 10:30 A.M. Attest:
