V February 2, 1959 A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, February 2, 1959 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the previous regular meeting were read and approved. The time now being after 10:00 A.M. it was so announced and the bids for the Police Department were opened and read aloud. Proofs of publication in the South Bend Tri- bune with an affidavit signed by Robert DeLong and in the Record with an affidavit signed by W. DeCanio were submitted to the Board and found sufficient. The bids re- ceived read as follows: Police Department Freeman Spicer Company A non -collusion affidavit and a derti- 520 S.Lafeyette St. fied check in the amount of $500.00 South Bend, Indiana accompanied the bid. Two (2) 1959 VW4 Studebaker Lark 4-door Sedans One (1) 1959 Studebaker VD4 Lark Station Wagon Total net delivered price for 3 units------ $4947.72 Newman Altman Company A non -collusion affidavit and a certi- 220 E. Jefferson fied check in the amount of $520.00 South Bend, Indiana accompanied the bid. Two (2) 1959 Studebaker Lark V8 4-door deluxe sedans One (1) 1959 Studebaker Lark V8 Ambulet Total net difference for 3 units=---------$5195.96 The bids will be taken under advisement until next Monday, February9, 1959 and will be awarded then.
