There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was ad- journed at 10:20 A.M. ATTEST; ANTHONYX. %SABO, CLERK January 5, 1959 A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, January 5, 19599 at 10:00 A.M. Frank J. Bruggner was absent, all other members,present. Minutes of the previous regular meeting were read and approved. Applications for the Police Auxiliary School Patrol were approved and placed onfile for Eugenia Wonisch, 1702 S. Chapin Street. The Clerk of the Board is directdd to advertise for 3 sedans for the South Bend Police Department. Effective the 1st day of January, 1959 as so recommended the Police Chief Dutrieux, Insp. Clem Hazinski will carry the title as Assistant Chief of Police, however, said rank will be carried in connection *1th the Traffic Engineering Department. The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City ofSouth Bend, Indiana hereby appoves the appointment of Raymond Eugene VanWynsberghe, 3519 West Western Avenue to the City Fire Department. Said Applicant has passed all required written examinations and physical examinations by both the City Doctor and the Pension Board Doctor and also having been found acceptable for membership in the Firemen's Pension Fund, this appointment will become effective as of this 16th day of January, 1959.
