NEMETH, Mayor <br />COUNTY -CITY BUILDING SOUTH BEND, INDIANA 46601 <br />March 6, 1979 <br />Common Council <br />4th Floor, County -City Building <br />227 West Jefferson Boulevard <br />South Bend, Indiana 46601 <br />Dear Council Members: <br />AREA 219 284 - 9261 <br />I am filing a resolution requesting your authorization <br />to expend sums (approximating $500,000) for the purpose of <br />bringing the "Hole" project to the point where construction <br />costs can be bid by companies and construction of the <br />project may then proceed. <br />The monies will be drawn down from our UDAG grant; <br />however, in the event the project for any reason does not <br />proceed, the city may be liable to repay the UDAG monies to <br />HUD. The total at that time would be in the approximate <br />sum of $700,000. <br />The breakdown of the costs is as follows: <br />Architectural fees .......... $539,600.00 <br />Gerald D.
