NEMETH, Mayor.
COUNTY CITY BUILDING SOUTH BEND, INDIANA 46601
July 18, 1979
Members of the Common Council
South Bend Common Council
4th Floor County -City Building
Dear Council Members:
219/284 -9483
There will be a resolution presented for your consideration
at the July 23, 1979 Council meeting approving an extension
of the lease agreement between Action, Inc, and the City.
This lease pertains to the 1820 S. Michigan, known as Old
Fire Station No. 10. Action, Inc. is presently using this
building as their operations center and has been doing so
since the 1960's.
Basically, the problem is that the building is in need of
repairs. Action, Inc. is willing to put money into these
renovations and repairs, but only if they are assured that
the building would be available to them for at least a 5 -year
period.
The administration would have no problem with this action,
and hopes the Council will act favorably in this matter.
Sincerely, (
7mj_'_ e
.
