Norway Maple Court <br />South Bend, Indiana 46638 <br />Telephone 232 -4845 <br />October 3, 1979 <br />The South Bend Common Council <br />County -City Building <br />South Bend, Indiana 46601 <br />Gentlemen: <br />Re: Application for Urban Development Area for purposes <br />of I.C. §6 -1.1- 12.1 -1 through I.C. §6 -1.1- 12.1 -6 <br />inclusive. River Glen Office Plaza Associates Project <br />By this letter, we submit application for the 10 year <br />Urban Development Area tax abatement on real estate to be <br />purchased by this applicant located in the downtown South <br />Bend area commonly known as Block 6, South Bend, Indiana, <br />pursuant to the purposes of I.C. §6 -1.1- 12.1 -1 through <br />I.C. 96 -1.1- 12.1 -6 inclusive. <br />The improvements to be constructed will consist of a <br />gross 34,866 square feet of office space. The project cost <br />is estimated at $1,965,560.00. The tax abatement will <br />provide necessary economic stimulus to the successful <br />marketing and management of the project. <br />The applicant is negotiating its leases for the office <br />facility with two national corporations. It is estimated <br />that this facility will provide forty new jobs in the <br />South Bend area, with an annual payroll of $600,000.00. <br />If you have any questions concerning this application <br />or the project, please contact the undersigned. <br />Thank you for your consideration of this application. <br />Si 1 <br />Charl s G.
