52 <br />December 18, 1957 <br />A special meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Wednesday, <br />December'18, 1957 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. The following <br />business was transacted -at this meeting. <br />a . <br />The Board now approves the decision of the Board of Trustees of the Firemen's <br />Pension Fund that a one Clem J. Sikorski of the South Bend Fire Department <br />shall be granted a disability pension of $220.32 per month or 55 per cent of <br />a fully paid first class firemen's salary effective as of December 179 1957. <br />This action is governed solely by the recommendation of Dr. R. W. Spenner, <br />medical examiner. Also approved was the payment of a monthly widow's pension <br />to Mary Wroblewski., widow of George V. Wroblewski, a retired member of the <br />Fire Department, and whose death occured November 26, 1957. <br />After Niue consideration the -Board awarded the bid for the Civil Defense Depart- <br />ment to the following company: <br />Communications Company, Inc. <br />300 Greco Avenue <br />Coral Gables 349 Florida <br />A non -collusion affidavit and a <br />certified check in the amount of <br />$165.20 accompanied the bid. <br />One (1) FM Base Station, Transmitter & Receiver. <br />COMO Model 426, 250-watt Base Station for <br />single ftequency.,~receiver in the 50MC band <br />Total bid price ...... $1652.00 <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was <br />adjourned at 10:30 A.M.
