Applications for the Police Department were accepted and placed on file for <br />George Robert Baldwin. <br />The October monthly report of the Weights and Measures Department as submitted <br />to the Board by Bert S. Cichowicz is accepted and placed on file. <br />Chief Dutrieux appeared before the Board, and requested permission to send <br />Police Sgt. Rene Devolder to attend National Conference of Mental Health in <br />Atlantic City, New Jersey on November 18 through 21, 1957. Permission granted. <br />The Board hereby approves the appointment of Roger Cornelis to the Fire Depart- <br />ment of the City of South Bend, Indiana. Said applicant having passed all re- <br />quired written examinations and also having passed necessary physical examina- <br />tions by both the City Doctor and the Pension Board Doctor, his appointment shall <br />become effective as of November 16, 1957. <br />There being no further business to come before the Boards to meeting was ad- <br />journed at 10:45 A.M.
