Permission granted. <br />Officer Leonard Krulewitch requests permission to start his leave termination Aug- <br />ust 59 1957 and will retire from the Department August 209 1957. Permission grant- <br />ed. <br />Applications for the Fire Department are hereby examined and placed on file for <br />Hilary Staszewski and Frank Kaniewski. <br />Fire Chief Andrzjewski requests permission to attend a convention on the 7th and <br />8th days of August, 1957. Permission granted. <br />This being the date set, hearing was held before the Board of Public Safety in <br />the matter of Clem J. Sikorski regarding charges against him for violation of <br />Section 16 and Section 25 of the Rules and Regulations of the Fire Department of <br />the City of South Bend. <br />That Clem J. Sikorski is charged as follows: <br />That on the 31st day of July, 1957, at or about 9:00 A.M., said Clem J. Sik- <br />orski was under the influence of intoxicating liquors in Station #12 at Gladstone <br />and Western Avenue in the City of South Bend; that the actions of said Clem J. <br />Sikorski in being under the influence of intoxicating liquors while on duty as <br />set out above is contrary to Section 16 of the Rules and Regulations of the Fire <br />Department of South Bend. <br />That the said Clem J. Sikorski is further charged as follows: <br />That on the 31st day 6f July, 19572 at or about 9:15 P.M., said Clem J. Sik- <br />orski left the Fire Station No. 12 at Gladstone and Western Avenue in the City <br />of South Bend, while on duty, and without permission of the office in charge. <br />That the action of said Clem J. Sikorski in leaving the fire station while on <br />duty and without permission of the officer in charge as set out herein is con- <br />trary to Section 25 of the Rules and Regulations of the Fire Department of South <br />Bend. <br />
