Permission granted. Bloomington, This being the date set, hearing was held on charges against Officer Leonard Brooks, Jr., 1711 Longley Avenue, South Bend, Indiana in violation of Rules 59 15, and 20 of the Rules and Regulations of the South Bend Police Department. Charges regarding same were filed in the office of the Board of Public Works & Safety on June 13, 1957. Notice of said hearing to be held at 10:60 A.M. (DST) on June 179 1957 before the Board of Public Works and Safety was served upon by Leonard Brooks, Jr. personally and Sgt. Nicholas, #129 served the same on Leonard Brooks, Jr. personally on the 13th day of June, 1957. Leonard Brooks, Jr. having appeared before the Board of Public Works and Safety on this 17th day of June, 1957 admits that he is in violation of Rule #5, in that he did not report for duty.
