Police Chief Dutrieux appeared before the Board and requested permission for leaves of absence for 0. E. Harman and F. W. Voss to attend active duty with the United States Air Force at Bakalar Air Force Base in Columbus, Indiana from April 199 1957 through May 3, 1957. Permission granted. 1 The Board hereby approved the appoybtment of Louis John Andrejewski to the Police De- partment of the City of South Bend, Indiana. Said applicant having passed all necessary examinations and also having passed physical examination by both the City Doctor and also the Pension Doctor, his appointment shall become effective as of April 11, 1957. The monthly report for March, 1957 of the Weights & Measures Department is hereby accepted and placed on file. Bert S. Cichowicz, City Sealer, appeared before the Board and requests permission to attend the Weights & Measures conference in Evansville, Indiana on the 22, 23, 24 days of April, 1957. Permission granted.
