(CST). <br />All members were present. <br />The Board has received and accepted the resignation from the South Bend Police Depart- <br />mentof one Patrolman Carl Moore, Jr., effective as of March 2, 1957. The resignation <br />being duly signed and notarized at 11:05 A.M. on March 21 1957 and the Board took <br />recognition and acceptance at 11:30 A.M. (CST). <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at <br />10:15 A.M. (CST). , <br />March 4, 1957 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, March 49 1957.at <br />10:00 A.M. (CST). All members were present. Minutes of the previous regular meeting <br />were read and approved. Also a bond covering the application of said Smith was approved by the <br />Board. <br />Applications' for the Fire Department were approved and placed on file for Richard Casi- <br />mer Orasz and Harold Ruscio. <br />The February, 1957 monthly report of the Police Department is hereby accepted and placed <br />on file. <br />Wilman L. Welch submitted to the Board his request for retirement from the Police Depart- <br />ment of the City of South Bend, Indiana. Police Chief Dtitrieux having advised the Board <br />that said Welch has completed 20 hears of service with the Police Department, the Board <br />now approves the retirement and termination of pay for Welch will be effective as of <br />March 15, 1957. <br />There being no further business to come before theBoard, the meeting was adjourned at <br />10.35 A.M.
