RESOLUTION NO. 736 -79 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, COMMENDING <br />PETER J. NEMETH, FOR HIS FOUR YEARS OF <br />SERVICE AS MAYOR OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND. <br />WHEREAS, Peter J. Nemeth has been the Mayor of the City <br />of South Bend since 1975; and <br />WHEREAS, Mayor Nemeth has served with distinction as <br />Mayor of the City in revitalizing the downtown, improving <br />city services and leading the citizenry effectively; <br />WHEREAS, Mayor Nemeth has given eight years of hard <br />work as a dedicated public servant to the citizenry. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of <br />the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />SECTION I. That the citizens of South Bend, through <br />their Common Council, commend and congratulate Peter J. <br />Nemeth for his four years of service as Mayor of the City of <br />South Bend. <br />SECTION II. That the Common Council wish Mayor "Pete" <br />Nemeth continued sucess and a bright and successful future as <br />he reenters the practice of law and enters the business world. <br />SECTION III. That this Resolution shall be in full force <br />and effect from and after its adoption by the Common Council <br />and approval by the Mayor. <br />Member the Common Council <br />Adopted December 17, 1979 <br />
