Parks is requesting the Council to approve a resolution granting the Department of Public Parks permission to file a grant application to the Institute of Museum Services, De- partment of Health, Education and Welfare for a grant of $28,000.00. The funds, if approved, would be used to hire an educator and a graphics specialist. The educator would work in the classroom facilities in the new Wildlife Services Building developing, co- ordinating and carrying out programs for groups of all ages. The graphics specialist would design and construct signs with informa- tion about the animals. The cities share of the grant is included in the 1980 park budget thus no additional funds will be required from the city. Your con- sideration of our request will be appreciated.
