Parks is requesting the Council to approve <br />a resolution granting the Department of Public Parks permission to <br />file a grant application to the Institute of Museum Services, De- <br />partment of Health, Education and Welfare for a grant of $28,000.00. <br />The funds, if approved, would be used to hire an educator and a <br />graphics specialist. The educator would work in the classroom <br />facilities in the new Wildlife Services Building developing, co- <br />ordinating and carrying out programs for groups of all ages. The <br />graphics specialist would design and construct signs with informa- <br />tion about the animals. <br />The cities share of the grant is included in the 1980 park budget <br />thus no additional funds will be required from the city.
