BAUER, DIRECTOR �- COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SUBJECT: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MAYOR TO SUBMIT 1980 CDBG APPLICATION DATE: FEBRUARY 19, 1980 ® illll ® 3� ® Z y s � 1440 County -City Building South Bend, Indiana 46601 (219) 284 -9335 On February 25, 1980, the Common Council will consider a Resolution authorizing the Mayor to submit the City's 1980 CDBG Application to the Indianapolis Area Office of the Department of Housing and Urban Development on April 22, 1980. As you are aware, the CD Staff has prepared a handout - "Summary: Community Development Block Grant Application 1980" to assist Council Members in their consi- deration of the Resolution. On March 7, 1980 a draft application will be submitted to the State Planning Agency and Michiana Area Council of Governments for A -95 review. This procedure is a federal requirement. Please be assured that following the above mentioned review, a full application will be made available to all Common Council Members several weeks prior to the April 22, 1980 application submittal date to the HUD Area Office. Should you have questions concerning the attached Resolution or the handout summary which Common Council Members received at the February 18, 1980 Monday evening caucus, please contact me.
