At that time <br />Council Members were apprised there would be many similar resolutions to follow as <br />a result of a new requirement by HUD. This new requirement issued by HUD stated <br />that waivers would now be granted on the condition that the Common Council publicly <br />recognize the participation of city employees or public officials in HUD- funded pro- <br />grams. Thus, one such resolution is attached for your consideration. <br />Please be assured that prior to forwarding such a resolution for your review, <br />the Division of Community Development continues to request written waiver from HUD <br />on a case -by -case basis when an otherwise eligible city employee or public official <br />makes application. <br />I urge your favorable action on this matter. <br />MTB /klh <br />Attachment <br />cc: Mayor Roger 0.
