Discovery Hall Museum is a new (1977) municipal museum of the industrial history of the South Bend /Mishawaka area. Primary support comes from an annual appropriation from the South Bend Common Council with additional support from donations, revenues, and volunteer services. The museum has a full time staff of four (director, curator, secretary, and Collections technicial) and a part time staff of four (guard, maintenance, and two volunteers). The museum will be buildi -ng new permanent exhibits in the near future and expects an increase in visitation and a greater demand for services as a result. A Curator of Education is needed to help meet these demands. A grant from IMS will allow Discovery Hall to provide better services for all its visitors and guarantee that curren10 levels of programs will continue.
