February 20, 1980 <br />Members of the Council <br />South Bend Common Council <br />4th Floor County /City Building <br />South Bend, Indiana 46601 <br />Dear Council Members: <br />W ntery <br />I'm presenting for your approval at the February 25, 1980 <br />meeting a resolution by the Council approving the Mayor's <br />application to the Institute of Museum Services for general <br />operating support for Discovery Hall Museum. <br />This grant application is for $35,000 which may be used for <br />most general operating expense items of the museum. In addition, <br />we may want to use part of the funds for the addition of a Curator <br />of Education to the museum staff. (This person would be responsible <br />for education programs for students and the general public.) The <br />$35,000 grant is direct support and does not require any match. <br />We are under a deadline for submitting of this application, that <br />being March 7, 1980.
